Hello The Alumni Banquet will be Sunday, May 18, 2008. If you are on the Alumni Association membership mailing list we will be sending out a newletter with all the banquet information around the first of April. If you are not but would like to be on the list, please e-mail me your mailing address. You will be mailed a newletter and then you may decide if you would like to become a member of the association. Dues are just $5.00 a year, payable in May of each year. We will have two more banquets at our present building. May of 08 and May of 09. The new high school is scheduled to open in the Fall, 2009. This May we are honoring the classes of 1948, 1958 and 1968. Also we are paying a "tribute" to all HTHS Military Veterans and those still on active duty. We have some working on the Class of 1958 but need someone for the 1948 and 1968. I noticed a lot from '68 are members of this website. Any information on any of these classes or Alumni Military Veterans would be appreciated. Thanks to funds donated by Hamilton Athletic Boosters the football stadium will soon have several new upgrades. They have donated weight equipment for the new weight room inside the stadium. There will be a new concession stand and stadium entry with two ticket facilities. There are also plans to build a new high jump pit at the west end of the stadium. Lastly, installation of the new Tiger field turf will begin soon. All of this is at no cost to the taxpayers of Hamilton Township. It has been asked why can't the Boosters donate this money to the general fund of the school district to be used toward education? It is estimated that the cost of upkeep on the football field with grass (seeding, fertilizer, mowing, top-dressing, watering, lining.....) is upward toward $50k a year. It will no longer be necessary for the school to pay for this maintenance so the new turf will result in a great amount of savings to the district and it's general fund. Due to the generous contributions of the Boosters Hamilton will have the best athletic facilities in the league, if not central Ohio and it won't cost us taxpayers a cent. Having top-notch facilities like Hamilton will soon have can only make our community more attractive and add to our property values!! Below is a peek at what the new field will look like.  As you probably know Hamilton Township residents approved a bond issue in November 2005 that will allow the school district to build three new school buildings. There will be a new K-3 building, a new middle school, and a new high school. An intermediate (grades 4-6) school was built a few years ago. These buildings will replace all of the existing buildings. The new k-3 and middle school buildings are scheduled to open for the 2007-2008 school year. These buildings are already under construction and are well on their way. The new high school is scheduled to open during the 2008-2009 school year, most likely after Christmas break.
